  • To teach the students at your assigned grade level, it is necessary to understand the big picture of how the skills that you teach at that level support the total curriculum making your students successful in your class and in classes to follow.
  • To examine the TAKS Mathematics Charts for Grades 3-8.  Note the changes added each year using the chart provided.  Note the implications that these changes have for instruction at that grade level.
  • To examine the measurement TAKS questions related to area of a rectangle.  Note the implications for instruction in the last column.
