Think Aloud (Self Talk, Math Talk)
- This is a teaching strategy associated with aiding reading comprehension.
- The teacher talks aloud to the student(s) explaining what he/she is thinking as he/she solves a mathematics problem, including talking out the previously-discussed steps.
- This provides explicit instruction to students who do not pick up on such problem-solving thinking implicitly.
